PV incentives about to change

Italian PV incentives are about to change. Retroactively.

The proposal of the Minister of Economic Development Flavio Zanonato to spread over several years the incentives for photovoltaics and renewables will be included in the decree, which should be approved in the Council of Ministers scheduled for today.

In detail, you can choose :

a) To continue to enjoy the incentive scheme due for the remaining period of entitlement. In this case, for a period of ten years from the end of the period of entitlement to the incentive scheme, interventions of any kind made ​​on the same site have no right of access to additional incentive instruments, including dedicated withdrawal and on the spot, to be paid by prices or the price of electricity;

b ) To opt for a reformulation of the incentive due, time to upgrade the entire life of the plant. In this case, with effect from 1 January 2014, the producer accesses an incentive reduced by a percentage specific to each type of system, defined by the Minister of Economic Development, with the opinion of the Authority for Electricity and gas, within 60 days of the entry into force of this decree, to be applied for a period of renewed incentive equal to the remaining term of the incentive payable on the same date increased by 7 years.

Those who do not accept the reshaping will have no right of access to additional incentive instruments , including dedicated withdrawal and on the spot, for a period of ten years from the end of the period of entitlement to the incentive scheme .
